November looks like a flagship month in India. Motorola has confirmed the Signature 27 for this month, and Vivo’s X500 series is tipped for late November. Two more big phones, the iQOO 16 and Xiaomi 18 Pro, are officially headed to India but may slip to December. Here’s what’s confirmed, what’s only rumoured, and whether it’s worth waiting.

November 2026 at a glance

Phone Expected in India Status Expected price
Motorola Signature 27 November (global launch November 5) India launch confirmed by Motorola, exact date not announced Not announced; estimates range from ₹70,000 to about ₹1 lakh

Prices for all four are still unannounced, so treat any “India price” you see before launch day as an estimate.

Motorola Signature 27: confirmed for November

This is the only big phone with a confirmed November launch in India. Motorola’s India website says it is “coming this November”, and the phone launches globally on November 5. Motorola hasn’t announced the exact India date yet.

What Motorola has confirmed:

  • Chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
  • Cameras: a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera and a 200MP periscope zoom camera
  • Audio: tuned by Bang & Olufsen
  • Software: Android 17, with 7 years of OS updates promised

There’s no official price yet. Estimates range from about ₹70,000 to close to ₹1 lakh, and the current Motorola Signature started at ₹59,999 in January. We’ve covered the full details in our Motorola Signature 27 India launch post.

Vivo X500 series: tipped for late November

Vivo hasn’t announced an India date, but a Smartprix report, cited by GSMArena, says the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will reach India towards the end of November. The phones are already out in China, so the hardware is known:

  X500 X500 Pro X500 Pro Max
Chip Dimensity 9600M Dimensity 9600 Pro Dimensity 9600 Pro
Main camera 50MP 50MP 50MP
Telephoto camera 64MP periscope 64MP periscope 200MP
Software OriginOS 7 (Android 17) OriginOS 7 (Android 17) OriginOS 7 (Android 17)

These are the China specs. The Indian models are expected to be the same, but Vivo hasn’t confirmed that, or any India price.

iQOO 16: coming to India, but probably not in November

iQOO’s India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed the iQOO 16 for India at India Mobile Congress 2026 in October, with a “coming soon” teaser. No date has been announced, and reports point to December or early 2027.

The China model reportedly has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 2K AMOLED screen at up to 165Hz and a very large 8,400mAh battery, but iQOO hasn’t confirmed India specs. A tipster suggests the price could start above ₹1 lakh. For reference, the iQOO 15 launched in India at ₹85,999.

Xiaomi 18 Pro: hinted, expected around December

Xiaomi India has teased a launch on X without giving a date, and reports say only the Xiaomi 18 Pro will come to India, not the 18 Pro Max. Digit expects it around December 2026 at roughly ₹1 lakh. The China model has:

  • a 6.4-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED screen, plus a small 2.7-inch screen on the back
  • the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip
  • a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging
  • three rear cameras: 200MP main, 50MP ultrawide and 200MP telephoto

Our take

Can the Motorola Signature 27 challenge the iPhone and Samsung?

Yes, in my view, the Motorola Signature 27 can challenge both the iPhone and Samsung. Its premium design, camera hardware and display are outstanding.

But a real comparison isn’t only about specifications. Samsung’s and Apple’s camera processing, video recording, software and ecosystem also matter a lot.

The most interesting part is that Motorola has made a big jump in specifications this time. Motorola can give Samsung and Apple tough competition on hardware, but I’ll give my final verdict only after testing its camera processing, video quality and real-world performance.

Is the Xiaomi 18 Pro worth ₹1 lakh?

My advice is that before spending ₹1 lakh, you should compare it with other phones on the market, like the Samsung Galaxy Ultra, the iPhone Pro Max and the Motorola Signature 27. Don’t buy it just for its 200MP camera and bigger battery.

Should you buy in the Diwali sale or wait?

If you don’t need a new phone urgently, compare prices again after the Diwali sale. Don’t buy in a rush just because it’s Diwali.

My final suggestion:

  • If you’re getting a genuine discount, go for it in the Diwali sale.
  • If it’s only a normal discount, wait until November or December.
  • If buying a phone isn’t urgent, wait until January 2027.

Tip: If you’re buying a phone under ₹30,000, don’t wait for these. They’re all flagships at ₹70,000 or more. If you’re spending ₹70,000 or more, wait until the Signature 27’s India price is out in November, because a new launch often pushes older flagships into sale prices.

Also keep an eye on budget phones: some brands are raising prices from November 15, including Lava and AI+.

The bottom line

The Motorola Signature 27 is the one November flagship you can count on, with the Vivo X500 series likely to follow at the end of the month. The iQOO 16 and Xiaomi 18 Pro are confirmed or hinted for India, but probably in December. None of them has an India price yet, so if you’re planning to spend on a flagship, waiting a few weeks makes sense.
