It has gone up for pre-order in Vietnam first, with deliveries starting in early November. Poco hasn’t announced an India launch yet. Here’s what is confirmed so far.

India launch: not confirmed yet
Poco has not announced an India launch date or Indian prices for the X8s. Price-tracking site Smartprix lists it as an upcoming phone with an expected India price of around ₹23,999, but that is an estimate, not an official figure. The phone has passed certifications with a global model number, which usually means more markets are coming, but nothing is official for India yet.
Vietnam prices don’t tell us much about Indian pricing, because phone prices often differ a lot between countries. We’ll update this post once Poco confirms the India launch.

What’s new
The headline is the size. Most phones today have screens of 6.7 inches or bigger, so a 6.35-inch phone with flagship-style features is unusual, especially from Poco. It’s aimed at people who want a phone that’s easy to use with one hand.
The battery is also large for a phone this small. 6,330mAh is more than many full-size phones carry, and 100W charging should refill it quickly. Add IP68 water resistance and a 50MP telephoto camera for zoom shots, and the X8s packs more than you’d usually find in a compact mid-range phone.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is an upper mid-range chip. It should handle daily use and most games well, though it isn’t a flagship chip like the Snapdragon 8 series.
Who should consider it
If you’ve been waiting for a small Android phone that doesn’t compromise much on battery life or water resistance, the Poco X8s is one to watch, provided Poco brings it to India at a sensible price.
If you need a phone in India right now, the Poco X8 5G is already on sale from around ₹26,999 (6GB + 128GB) on Flipkart in October 2026. It goes the other way, with a much bigger 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, a huge 9,000mAh battery and 67W charging, but a less powerful Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip.
Tip: Don’t pre-order an imported unit from a third-party seller. Without an official India launch, you may not get local warranty or service support. If the X8s interests you, wait for Poco’s official India announcement and pricing.

The bottom line
The Poco X8s is a rare compact phone with a big battery, 100W charging, IP68 and a telephoto camera. For now it’s only up for pre-order in Vietnam, and Poco hasn’t confirmed India plans or pricing. If you want a small phone, it’s worth waiting to see what Poco announces. If you need a phone today, the Poco X8 5G is already available in India.
